LOS ANGELES - The car used in the original Batman television series the 1960's sold for U.S. $ 4.6 million or about Rp44, 6 billion. Black car was auctioned on Saturday (19/1) yesterday in Arizona USA.
The car is modified from the 1955 Lincoln Futura was purchased by Batman fans, Rick Champagne, owner of a logistics company.
"I really like Batman and I came here to buy a car. Of course I can afford it, this is a dream come true, "Champagne said as quoted by Femalefirst, Monday (21/1).
The car was previously owned by George Barris in 1965. He spent up to 15 thousand dollars to modify the car. In fact, the car was only used for the film for 15 days.
The first concept car was made in Italy by the Ford Motor Company.
